4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 Inquiry Recipients
When you submit an inquiry form on a franchise or business listing — including one-tap requests sent from your franchise matching quiz results — your contact information and inquiry details (name, email, phone number, investment capital range, and any message) are shared with the relevant franchise brand, business broker, or their authorized representatives. By submitting an inquiry, you consent to being contacted regarding the opportunity you expressed interest in.
Deferred delivery to later-claimed listings. If the listing you inquire about does not yet have a claimed representative on the Platform, your inquiry is stored and will be delivered to the party who subsequently claims that listing through our claim process, which may occur weeks or months after your original submission. If you wish to withdraw an inquiry before it has been delivered, contact us at hello@startwithfranchise.ca and we will remove it.
4.2 Service Providers
We share personal information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, subject to contractual obligations to protect your data. These providers are described in Section 5 below.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose personal information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this Policy.
4.5 No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes unrelated to your inquiries on the Platform.
